Paddle Carving with RMSC

Get ready to hit the river! In this full-day course participants will hand-carve a traditional one piece wooden paddle with traditional edge tools.

Note: This event takes place at Cumming Nature Center.
Seasoned instructor Pat Smith guides participants through the intricacies of working with wood by hand to completely carve a wooden paddle worth of the wildest rivers and most majestic shorelines. For this introduction to paddle carving, workshop participants will carve a softwood paddle. Hardwood paddle available for experienced participants.
