Power Behind the Throne: Mistresses of Monarchs
*The event has already taken place on this date: Wed, 02/07/2024
Join us for a Women's History Month presentation that looks at female power from a unique position -- behind the throne. Mistresses of French and English monarchs were often privy to much of the private, political goings on of the day. Learn how they bent the ears of kings and steered the tides of history. Presented by Melinda Wallington, who has extensive background in history, women's studies, and anthropology. Register at www.brightonlibrary.org or call 784-5300.
