The Shortsville Firemen's Carnival is the OLDEST & LARGEST on going carnival in Ontario County. The first carnival and parade was in the month of July in 1939. It was sponsored by the members of the Citizens Hose Company - also known as the Shortsville Fire Department. It is still sponsored by the Citizens Hose Company today.
