Each day at Art Day Camp has an overall theme with two related classes and a wide variety of projects. Our classes are held in a studio setting where talented artist instructors challenge, instruct, and provide positive feedback—allowing your child to develop as an artist. Children are closely supervised and enjoy a lunch/recreation break and two snack/stretch breaks each day. You can join us for the day, or the full week. At Clay Camp, kids can get messy and be creative.
Our All Day Clay Camp is for ages 7-9 (juniors) and 10-15 (seniors).
CLAY & CREATIVITY (ages 7–9) [taught by Lisa Pelletier-Myers & Taylor Kennedy]
We’ll make several fun clay-based projects and have lots of chances to create using other artist media. We’ll be inspired by very old and very cool artwork in the museum.
CLAY & MORE (ages 10–15) [taught by Rose VanTyne & Kim Kurtz]
Experience working with clay, hand-building, and on the wheel. This camp is designed as a great way to start with pottery including mixed-media to create 3-D works of art inspired by work in the museum.
