WXXI is hosting a STEM Exploration Event on Saturday, April 16th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at WXXI's Studios (280 State Street, Rochester). This event is part of a PBS KIDS initiative called “Explore the Outdoors” to encourage families and kids to get outdoors, learn, and explore nature. To help bring the natural world indoors, WXXI will be reaching out to partners to provide hands-on learning experiences around themes such as: environment, health, nature, animals, going green, conservation, recycling, gardening, and STEM.
The event will highlight resources from PBS KIDS programs – Wild Kratts, Nature Cat, and Ready Jet Go! The STEM Exploration Event is free and open to the public and targets families with children ages 2 -8 years old.
This event is part of a PBS KIDS grant-funded initiative called "Explore the Outdoors" to encourage families and kids to get excited about learning and discovering nature's surprises. The PBS KIDS logo is a registered mark of PBS and is used with permission.
