Tilly's Place Open House

Orion and Tilly are registered therapy dogs; each has passed an evaluation with their handler, demonstrating their ability to follow directions and their comfort in interactions with people. Both dogs have worked with people of all ages, from toddlers to older adults, and in many different settings. Tilly and Orion both trained to be therapy dogs at Nazareth University, with lots of support from the students and clients in the on-campus clinics.
Now the dogs are starting a new venture at Tilly's Place, with the goal of helping therapists (occupational, physical, and speech therapists), social workers, counselors, and educators to implement animal-assisted therapy and animal-assisted education into their work. In addition, we run reading and educational groups for children. Examples of educational groups include dog care, dog training, types of working dogs, and dog body language.
