Would you like to travel more, but can't seem to save up enough for a trip? This class is geared towards people who are ready to venture beyond the normal drive/fly, hotel/restaurant vacation and would like to explore budget transportation and lodging. Budget travel can be a great way of directing your resources to the actual experience instead of logistics. We will look at free/low-cost accommodations options such as CouchSurfing, hostels, and AirBnB and explore alternative transportation modes such as train, inter- and intracity bus, and subway. The presenter will share her experience with budget travel and will encourage the attendees to add their insights. We will also cover pros and cons of budget travel, safety considerations, and how to prepare for budget travel.
