facilitate, inspire, and create a passion for learning. (This tutor no longer operates under this business, but still offers the same services)
Founder's Message:
Lisa Markese founded Teacher's Choice Tutoring in 2013 and has been a classroom teacher for over 19 years in the Rochester, New York area. With a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Master of Science in Special Education, as well as a Masters in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, and a New York State Permanent Teacher certification, Lisa is more than qualified to meet the educational needs of your child. She has a passion for educating and takes great pride in the fact that she has tutored and mentored over a thousand students.
Who are our Students:
We offer a wide range of customized, one-on-one, as well as group tutoring programs to students of ages pre-k through sixth grade. We work with students that have academic difficulties, as well as those that are academically gifted.
Location/Availability:
Tutoring sessions are available in your home or at a convenient and agreed upon location (library, community center, etc.). We cater to your calendar year round and are available upon request. We service students in all public and private schools in Monroe County.

ñ English Language Arts (reading, writing, language skills)
ñ Mathematics

ñ Social Studies
ñ New York State Test Preparation
* English instruction to English Language Learners
Your tutor will select appropriate texts, identify effective educational products, and use instructional strategies to meet your child's learning needs. Each student will obtain a solid grasp of fundamental themes and concepts. All courses taught are in alignment with New York State Common Core Standards.
Fees:
ñ $50.00 per hour
ñ Multiple children discount at the same tutoring session
ñ Payment in full incentives for four or more sessions at a time
ñ Pay as you go policies are available
