This time, unearth the unique story of the country's smallest city to build, operate, and then abandon a subway system. From the last days of our Erie Canal routing through the heart of our city, to the spark of an idea for prosperity, to a troubled life of a public rail line, this chapter of Rochester history remains one of the most curious.
