Somewhere in Philadelphia, Elliot has returned from Iraq and is struggling to find his place in the world. Somewhere in a chat room, recovering addicts forge an unbreakable bond of support and love. The boundaries of Elliot’s Latinx family and community are stretched across continents and cyberspace as birth families splinter and online families collide. "Water by the Spoonful" is a heartfelt and poetic meditation on lives on the brink of redemption and self-discovery during a time of heightened uncertainty.

"Water by the Spoonful" is a collaboration between the Department of Theatre and Music Studies and the Rochester Latino Theatre Company, and will be directed by Stephanie Paredes ’04, a co-founder of the RLTC.

SUNY policies pertaining to COVID-19 prevention will be in place for this performance. Please be sure to check the ticketing website closer to the performance date for specifics.

"… calidez deslumbrante y prolongada ... gran empatía y humor vibrante" – The New York Times
