On Saturday, September 22, celebrate World Rhino Day at the Zoo! Visit with the Zoo’s resident white rhino, Bill, at his brand new habitat in the Animals of the Savanna expansion. Learn about the importance of rhinos as megaherbivores, the threats they face in their natural range due to human impact, and the methods and organizations involved in rhino conservation. Meet with Zoo docents and Naturalists to learn more about Bill and his daily care, and find out what you can do to help save this threatened species from extinction. 11:30 a.m. – Interpreted Rhino Talk led by a Zoo Naturalist 2 p.m. – Rhino Keeper Chat
