The Genesee Valley Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club will host it's 19th annual Outdoor Expo on Saturday, June 11th at Mendon Ponds Park. This free event runs from 9:00 to 4:00 and will be located around the beach area.
The Outdoor Expo is hosted by the Genesee Valley chapter and Monroe County Parks and will include over 40 local outdoor related clubs and organizations as well as local outdoor vendors.
The goal of the Expo is to help people connect with groups and organizations that share their interests in the outdoors and nature.
There will be over 60 workshops all day on various outdoor activities such as hiking, canoeing, kayaking, backpacking, camping, bicycling and many other related outdoor skills. Food will be available. There will be activities for children to participate in. Music will be provided all day by the Golden Link Folk Sing Society.
