Annual Indoor "Hike"

The Penfield Trails Committee will host its annual Indoor Hike on Saturday, February 13, 10 AM at Penfield Town Hall, 3100 Atlantic Avenue. There will be a presentation by Rochester Orienteering Club and light refreshments will be served. This event is free.
The Rochester Orienteering Club will present "The Thinking Sport". Learn the basics of using a map and compass to navigate to any outdoor setting while hiking or x-country skiing. Enhance your outdoor adventure! Rochester Orienteering Club meets at local parks monthly, and has a long history in Rochester.
"By using these simple orienteering skills one can heighten their experience of the great outdoors," says Nels Carman, Penfield Trails Committee chair. "These are good skills to have in your back pocket."
While the "hike" is free, participants are asked to pre-register by calling Penfield Recreation at 340-8655, option 6.
