Beef Stew for Two Class at GCV
*The event has already taken place on this date: Thu, 01/14/2021
Come learn how to prepare hearty stew and biscuits using recipes gleaned from our great-grandmothers’ cookbooks, transforming them with modern technology. Using seasonal root vegetables & economical cuts of beef, paired participants will work together to make a savory stew to take home.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
Bring your own Dutch oven, 3 quart covered casserole dish, crockpot, or Insta-pot to prepare your stew in to take home and cook after the class. We will also make buttermilk biscuits just like the ones our Jones Farm cooks bake here at GCV&M! Especially designed for beginner/intermediate adult cooks, the class will be taught by the Museum’s historic cook Peggy Roll.
