Led by Librarian Caitlin, this month we will be discussing A Woman is No Man by Etaf Rum. Eighteen-year-old Palestinian American Deya meets with suitors for an arranged marriage, despite the fact she'd rather go to college. She is sharing the same fate as her mother, who came to the USA from Palestine as a teenager for her own arranged marriage in 1990. The book alternates between the stories of mother and daughter, revealing to Deya secrets of her family and her community. Copies are available at the Check-Out Desk.
