Foer describes how over the past few decades there has been a revolution in terms of who controls knowledge and information, which has imperiled the way we think. Without considering the negative ramifications, the world has embraced the products and services of four titanic corporations: Amazon, Facebook, Apple, and Google. A New York Times Book Review Notable Book of 2017, World Without Mind traces the intellectual history of computer science and the unfortunate downsides of modern technology, such as the disintegration of intellectual property and privacy.
