City of Rochester Public Market

Since 1905 the City of Rochester Public Market has been a source of healthy, affordable food and a rich cultural experience--the RPM is a dazzling diversity of products and people! Open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays 52 weeks a year, plus another 50 days per year for free-admission special events!
For over a century the Market has connected the city, its countryside, and the region's farmers; and has been a source of freshness and value, character and community. Since 1905 the Market has been a prominent part of the region's economy, ecology, and equity. Supermarkets and corner stores are important conveniences of modern life, but the Public Market offers special connection to growers, merchants, and fellow customers; the Market is also truly a rich, unique cultural experience. In addition to regular Market shopping days three times a week year-round, the Market offers an additional 40-plus days with free-admission special events.

Come to the Market and experience our dazzling diversity of products, people, and programs!

Note that those with food stamp benefits can use those benefits at the Market to buy healthy, affordable food-- through the Market Token Program for SNAP recipients.
