We will begin with a quick lecture briefly covering the history of the comics medium and what makes comics work. Then, we will spend the rest of our time making comics! We'll start with character design and go on to pencil and ink a 1-4 page comic. It can be as simple as a 3-4 panel strip or as complex and challenging as a 4 page story that can be either completely self contained or ongoing. Students can make something autobiographical or fantastical and are encouraged to start thinking about what kind of comic they want to make before the class.  All skill levels and ages welcome. Please note: If you'd like, you're welcome to bring your own computer with tablet and art program, Radiograph pen, Brush pen (black), pen and ink set, bue pencil. None of these items are a requirement, but just for fun if you have them!  The Comics you make will be complied together and posted in a Brainery blog post!About the teacher:  Chuck Harrison, AKA ChuckHA!, i is a #1 bestselling illustrator and DC Comics alum for a crash course in drawing comics.
