What does it mean to dress “like a woman” and what does that look like? How do race, class, and occupation change the expectations around the visual representation of womanhood, both in historic fashion and in art? Join Fashion Historian Brandon W. Brooks for a fascinating Fashion & Art DeTOUR, where he will pair fashion history with select pieces from the MAG’s fine art collections.
To submit a request for ASL interpretation, please email access@mag.rochester.edu at least two weeks before the tour.
For questions about this event, please contact MAG Engagement Manager Jessica Gasbarre at jgasbarre@mag.rochester.edu. Ticket sales end on Thursday, March 12, at 6:15 pm. Ticket includes DeTOUR℠ and museum admission.
