Giving ZOODay

With the Zoo closed, keepers are giving the animals extra enrichment to keep them mentally and physically active.  Now you can help support that!

On May 5, we are partnering with other AZA organizations for #GivingZOODay. On that day, we are asking for donations to the Zoo’s Animal Enrichment Fund, which pays for things like puzzle feeders, special foods, spices and other scents, and other items that help keep the animals express natural behaviors.

Enrichment enhances the well-being of the animals and is as essential to animal welfare as nutrition and excellent veterinary care. It is especially crucial now as the Zoo is closed.

There are two ways you can support the Zoo’s Animal Enrichment Fund:

Make a direct donation of any dollar amount.

Become a ZooParent. In appreciation for your donation, you’ll receive a plush and other information about the specific animal you choose. Your ZooParent package will be shipped to you for $52.50. Visit the website for animal selection.
