A Rochester holiday tradition for over a quarter-century, Holidays at the Market features dozens of holiday-focused vendors selling fresh-cut trees and wreaths, decorations, specialty foods and beverage products, hand-crafted items, seasonal treats, and much more!
During Holidays, the Market is decked out in holiday lights and festive music, and offers a great volume and variety of local shopping and unique gift items. Kids can visit Santa from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. during the Sunday events, and from 6 to 8 p.m. during the Thursday evening event. Plus, everyone can enjoy free horse-drawn carriage rides offered during all the events!
Special Thursday Evening Event, December 18
Holidays at the Market will again this year host a special Thursday evening on December 18, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. In collaboration with the Market District Business Association, this evening will feature specials at Market District businesses in addition to shopping with holiday-themed vendors. Entertainment throughout the Market District, Santa and horse-drawn carriage rides will add to the shopping delights and make for a festive and memorable Holidays at the Market bonus!
Market Gift Tokens Make Great Holiday Gifts
Consider giving the gift of the Market during the holiday season-- get some Public Market Gift Tokens (and/or Market-branded merchandise) for your family and friends! Market Gift Tokens are available for purchase at the small white Token Center behind the Market Office, during regular Market days and hours. Market-branded merch is available most regular Saturday Market shopping days, in the indoor "B" Shed, and will be available during Holidays at the Market.

2025 Holiday Cookie Contest
Each year, the City of Rochester Public Market hosts an open Holiday Cookie Contest in conjunction with the annual Holidays at the Market special events! Deliver a dozen of your best cookie creations to the Market Office on Saturday, December 6 (8 a.m. - 1 p.m.) or Sunday, December 7 (Holidays at the Market, 8 - 11 a.m.) with a list of ingredients... and be entered to win coveted Market Gift Tokens, media/social media coverage, and bragging rights!
