Indigenous Peoples Day 2023

Celebrate Indigenous Peoples Day at the RMSC. Learn about and celebrate contemporary local and global Indigenous cultures.

Activities will feature Indigenous-created content and activities. Learn about local changemakers from indigenous communities and their activism.
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE:
- Land Acknowledgement display
- Story Corner: explore a self-guided story corner featuring Indigenous authors.
- Sensory Room: Experience low sensory input with a coloring station made up of Indigenous-created coloring sheets.
- Tours (11:15am & 2:30pm): Join a guided tour of Same Sky in the Strasenburgh Planetarium, followed by star shows.
- At the Western Door: Discover the rich history and culture of the Haudenosaunee (hoe-dee-no-SHOW-nee) people. Connect with their story from the past to present.
