Introduction to Arduino Programming I: Light It Up

This series of classes will introduce students to the basics of programming using light emitting diodes (LEDs), switches, and an Arduino microcontroller. Instruction will make use of the SparkFun® Digital Sandbox®, which includes sensors, LEDs, and an on-board Arduino.
Light it up
In the first Series, Light It Up, students will learn to program the Arduino to light up LEDs individually, in groups, and in different colors. The classes introduce basic programming topics including loops, variables, RGB color coding, and Pulsed-Width Modulation.
If your teenager is interested in programming, this course is an excellent way to help them learn about interactive computing.
Classes are limited to four students to ensure individual attention. Students will meet 3 days for one hour each day. Sign up by contacting the Sweden/Clarkson Recreation Center.
Classes are taught by Dr. Trevor Johnson-Steigelman, a college professor who has been teaching science and technology for over 20 years.
