Introduction to ASL

Participants will focus on mastering the basics of finger spelling, facial grammar, vocabulary and conversational phrases necessary to hold a beginning-level conversation in ASL. This class will also take a look into the rich world of Deaf culture and teach culturally appropriate ways to interact with Deaf people.

It's time to learn the language that will bring us all closer together; so get ready to learn the basics of American Sign Language (ASL) through the fun of socialization! You'll leave with a new appreciation for the language as well as resources to help you continue to grow as a signer.
