Sunday, Oct.13th, at 4PM, the Downtown United Presbyterian Church will host a Downtown Arts Community PRISM Concert, showcasing arts community members who share our historic building. Performances range from soloists to ensembles, choruses, dance, and short theatre pieces. This PRISM style performance will proceed from one 5-minute offering to the next without applause until the end of the approximately 75-minute program

Sunday, October 13th, at 4PM, the Downtown United Presbyterian Church (DUPC) will continue our 50th Anniversary celebration with a Downtown Arts Community PRISM Concert, showcasing the many arts community members and organizations that have a presence in our building. A free-will offering will benefit the ROCMusic Collaborative: an “El Sistema” inspired program providing free lessons, ensemble experience, instruments, and performance opportunities to Rochester youth.
The concert will take place in the beautiful, historic DUPC sanctuary, with performances ranging from soloists to small ensembles, choruses, dance, and short theatre pieces. This remarkable performance in PRISM style features performances from different corners of the sanctuary, proceeding from one 5-minute offering to the next without applause until the end of the approximately 75-minute program.
Presentations by Off Monroe Players, Rochester Gay Men’s Chorus, Rochester Women’s Community Chorus, Thomas Warfield, Open Road Theater, the Spiritus Christi Gospel Choir, the DUPC Chancel Choir, First Inversion, Pegasus Early Music, Hochstein Chamber Music, ROCMusic Studio Strings, Eastman organist Aaron Tan, The Mount Hope World Singers, Alan Jones and Phyl Contestable will captivate our audience.
