Journey into the Helmer Nature Center forest in search of owls!

Learn about the amazing adaptations that allow owls to hunt at night, and how to identify owls in the area by sight or sound. Meet Wink, our screech owl, who lives at the nature center. We will then walk through the woods using recorded calls. Or, you can try to imitate the owl sound yourself to call them in! This is an outdoor event, so dress accordingly. Most suitable for ages 8 and up.
