To cap off Defend the Ice Month, Seneca Park Zoo Society is hosting Polar Bear Awareness Weekend from Saturday, February 24 to Sunday, February 25.
Meet us at the Barbara Bonin Bear Habitat in Rocky Coasts Gallery and discover the impact of polar bears on the unique Arctic ecosystem.
– Enjoy interpreted enrichment demonstrations with Aurora
– Learn about Aurora’s daily care and the Zoo’s efforts to ensure a sustainable future for polar bears
– Participate in interactive stations and games
– Be inspired to take action to help save polar bears from extinction
SUNDAY ONLY:
10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – Amerks players will be at the Zoo to help raise awareness for polar bear conservation and raise funds for Polar Bears International(PBI). The players will also be available to sign autographs.
For a donation of your choice to PBI, you can enter a drawing to win a variety of prizes, including a signed Amerks merchandise and a behind-the-scenes tour of Rocky Coasts Gallery with the Amerks players!
