Sensory experiences provide a fundamental learning experience as children experience the world through all five senses! Children learn: fine motor skills, emotional regulation, sensory exploration, concepts of soft, hard, smooth, rough, bumpy, slimy, oily, dry, wet, science: chemistry, physics, nature, etc… properties and other concepts: absorption, displacement, measurement, cause and effect, sensory and tactile awareness, solid, liquid, suspension, drainage, conservation, volume, mass, saturation, estimation, and the learning goes on and on…
Sensory play is also a vehicle for science and discovery!
