Sladki Doumi Women’s Balkan Chorus performs traditional songs from the Balkans, celebrating a musical style with foot-tapping, asymmetrical rhythms and radiant melodies.

Said one fan: this music “makes your socks go up and down!” The singing style is clear, strong and highly ornamented, with close harmonies that make the air “ring like a bell.” Sung in their original languages, the songs can be joyful or haunting, but always touch the heart. Sladki Doumi shares them with audiences faithfully and lovingly!
