Summer Learn to Row Programs - Kids and Adults

There will be two session's of our 2022 Summer Youth Learn-to-Row program and Adult Learn to Row.
All sessions are held at the Fairport Boathouse in Perinton Park.

2022 Summer Youth Learn-to-Row
- July 11 - July 16, afternoons 4 pm - 7 pm
- Aug 22 - Aug 27, mornings 9 am - noon
Students will learn the fundamentals of rowing on rowing machines and in a boat. This one-week program is open to all area youth, entering grades 8 through 12th to learn the sport of rowing!
2022 Summer Adult Learn to Row
- Mondays June 27 to August 1: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
- Wednesdays June 29 to August 3: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Two different sessions for new or novice adult rowers are available this summer. Both are 8 weeks long starting at the end of June until the beginning of August.
Please note - you do NOT have to live in Fairport to sign up.
What to wear / bring:
Wear snug fitting shorts or spandex (loose or baggy clothing can get caught in the moving parts of the boat) t-shirt, socks and sneakers (socks are a must!) Also, put on sunscreen, bring a water bottle. Hat and/or sunglasses are optional. If it seems chilly - bring a fleece or outer layer - non-cotton works best if it looks like rain.
