In this Pulitzer Prize-winning play, workers at a steel factory in Reading, PA, face harsh realities as the world changes around them. Management vs. line workers. Men vs. women. Black vs. white. Ultimately, strikers vs. scabs. The factory looms over the community like a specter, crushing people’s dreams of escaping.
