{theatre}+{náfsi} for YOUTH is an off-shoot of {theatre}+{náfsi} that creates theater for youth using African tales, African American inspired stories and plays to entertain and teach youth. We cater to a mix of younger and older youth making a {theatre}+{náfsi} for YOUTH event one for the family.

-At the heart of {theatre}+{náfsi} FOR Youth is a commitment to youth outreach, providing a captivating and storied context for life's invaluable lessons. Our mission is to produce and present artistic performances that illuminate the intricate facets of the human condition, all viewed through the prism of individuals from the rich tapestry of the African Diaspora. This includes embracing and celebrating diverse backgrounds such as African-American, African, Afro-Latino, Afro-Caribbean, and more.

Náfsi, meaning soul in Swahili, serves as not just our name but our guiding mantra: Theater with Soul! We believe in the transformative power of storytelling and its ability to resonate with audiences on a profound level. Through our compelling narratives, we endeavor to make theater not only entertaining but also accessible to groups that have often felt left out of the broader cultural conversation.

Reuben J. Tapp, our dedicated artistic director, encapsulates our ethos, stating, "We tell compelling stories centered in the Black experience, making theater accessible to groups that often feel left out of the conversation." With every production, we strive to create an inclusive space where diverse voices are heard and where the universal themes of love, resilience, and humanity shine brightly.

Join us on a journey that transcends boundaries, embracing the soulful essence of our shared experiences. {theatre}+{náfsi} FOR Youth is more than a theatrical endeavor; it's a celebration of culture, diversity, and the enduring power of storytelling to bridge hearts and minds.
