oin us for a presentation on the historical context of Louisa May Alcott’s classic Little Women. Professor Mark Sample will discuss the impact the Emancipation Proclamation, the Draft Riots, the election of 1864, and Lincoln’s assassination had on people living through this chaotic period of American history. There will be time at the end for questions and conversation.
Mark Sample is a History Professor at Monroe CC in the Anthropology, History, Political Science, and Sociology department.
