This is an introductory course into accessible drawing and water-based painting mediums. You will learn techniques which separately or together will help you know how to produce your own works of art. Through experiences in the art gallery, we will gain insights into technique, composition, and color theory.
Materials List
DRAWING
- Ebony Pencil
- Kneaded Eraser
- Metal Sharpener
- Micron Pen size 5 (additional sizes are great to have, like 1 & 3)
PAINTING
- Watercolor pan
- Small Acrylic set including white, black, red, blue, and yellow
- Synthetic Round #2, #6, Synthetic Flats: #4, #8, #10
- Painting & Drawing Surface: One of the following, mixed media, watercolor, or Bristol pad, 11x 14
- Paper Palette Pad Or a roll of wax paper
Optional Materials:
- Cork Back Ruler
- Painter’s Tape
- Plastic Water Cup
- White Gel Pen
