Local amateur astronomers will set up different types of telescopes set up to demonstrate each of their unique viewing specialties. You will have an opportunity to see live views of the moon, planets, galaxies, star clusters, star-forming nebulae and interstellar remnants of super novae! Attendees are encouraged to bring their own telescope if they have one.
Kindly enter the park with headlights off (parking lights only) PLEASE NOTE: These events are weather dependent. Be sure to check the library website 4 hrs before each scheduled event to assure that conditions will be favorable for viewing. An alternate date may be offered if necessary.
