The Effects of Trauma on Child Development

Presenter: Ashley DiMino, LMHC, Clinical Therapist. Families and Professionals will learn how trauma effects the body and brain development and how to foster resilience in children.

During the first two weeks of National Adoption Month, Children Awaiting Parents will be hosting workshops open to the community on topics relating to meeting the needs of teens and families touched by adoption or who have special needs. The workshops are applicable to the following groups: adoptive families, child welfare professionals, educators, therapists, family law professionals, and anyone who works with or is a parent to teens (especially teens in foster care).

 

Each workshop is $20 per person, $35 for two.
