Monday: Ski & Snowshoe Day
Join us for a day of ski and snowshoe fun! We're offering family-friendly, 30-minute ski lessons throughout the day, with special pricing for the morning session. In the afternoon enjoy a Guided Snoeshoe Hike. Instructors will be available throughout the day to help with gear fitting and to offer ski and snowshoe tips and support. Capacity is limited, so be sure to register in advance (registration details below).

Tuesday: How to Illustrate Animals
Are you curious about how to draw animals? Join Maureen Dunphy of the Finger Lakes Guild of Natural Science Illustrators from 1 - 3 pm to practice sketching a variety of animals and birds inside and outside the nature center. Practice your skills of observation and expression. Pencils, clip board, and paper supplies will be available. Space is limited, so please register in advance! In addition to the illustration workshop, we'll be offering family-friendly, 30-minute ski lessons throughout the day, with special pricing for the morning session. Details below!

Wednesday: Science of Snow and Snowflakes
Discover the crystalline world of snow! Why does some snow fall as six pointed stars, and others as needle shapes? Learn about different types of snowflakes, make a take-home snowflake, and gaze at snowflakes under a microscope. We will also be looking at Climate Change information on snow data in our area over time.
You can help us make an outdoor Quintzee you can crawl inside of, and learn more about the science of snow during a 1 pm walk. In addition to snow science activities, we'll be offering family-friendly, 30-minute ski lessons throughout the day, with special pricing for the morning session.

Thursday: Tracking and Animal Signs
You'll find wildlife all around you, once you learn to read the signs! Test your track ID skills, learn about animal signs, and make-a-track to take home. You can also see some wildlife camera pictures from the animals that reside at CNC and join a naturalist-led tracking expedition at 1pm. In addition to tracking activities, we'll be offering family-friendly, 30-minute ski lessons throughout the day, with special pricing for the morning session.

Friday: Wild Wings & Forest School Games
Come for a presentation on hawks and owls and meet live birds of prey in person! A presentation led by Wild Wings will begin at 11am. In the afternoon, family-friendly outdoor Forest School games will begin at 1 pm with games like Musk Ox Maneuvers and Oh Deer (bonus: you can even go inside and meet our Musk Ox!). At 1:45 we will head out into the woods for games of stealth, camouflage, and adventure! The afternoon will end around 3 pm with the opportunity to purchase hot cocoa and have free popcorn. In addition to Forest School activities, we'll be offering family-friendly, 30-minute ski lessons throughout the day, with special pricing for the morning session.
