Join the Genesee County Parks along with the Oakfield-Alabama Lions Club and try out fishing at DeWitt Recreation Area! Kids up to age 16 may enter the Kendra Haacke Memorial Fishing Derby and have a chance to win a prize! Fishing poles will be provided.

Join the Genesee County Parks along with the Oakfield-Alabama Lions Club and try out fishing at DeWitt Recreation Area! Friendly fishing guides will be on hand to assist. This program is perfect for beginning fishers! Fishing equipment will be provided by Cabela's or you may bring your own. No fishing license will be required! This is part of the NYSDEC's Free Fishing Weekend! Kids up to age 16 can join the fun and have a chance to win a prize by entering the Kendra Haacke Memorial Fishing Derby! Meet at Pavilion 3 in DeWitt Recreation Area. This program is FREE!!! Please pre-register by calling 585-344-1122. Walk-ins are also welcome!
