Dividing and Propagating Plants

Plant Whisperer, Michael Hannen will bring freshly dug and
divided perennial plants and potted samples to show some of the
many different ways to divide. He will also provide cuttings of
various perennials, woody shrubs and rooted samples. Attendees will
go home with divisions of new plants to try in their yards.

Spring into Action - Five Steps to Maintenance Free Gardens

Learn from a seasoned design professional, KC Fahy Harvick, how
to combine plants for season-long color and the look you’re after in
your garden or landscape.

Purposeful Perennials

Perennials aren’t just limited to the garden, they can be perfect in
containers! Avoid the weary end-of-summer look of annuals and
expand your palette of container plants with foliage and flowers. Save
money by buying plants that you can transplant into your garden
at the end of the season instead of tossing them into the compost
heap. Join designer and writer Christine Froehlich for a hands-on
demonstration and explore the many varieties of perennials available
for container planting. Lists of perennials that work well in sun and
shade will be provided and you’ll have an opportunity to see lots of
them up close and personal so you can put together your own special
look. Purchase plants at a special discount the night of the class.

bring a generous selection of uncommon, interesting plants. He
will explain how to grow each one and how to add variety to your
garden. All plants will be potted and tagged and offered for sale at a
discount. He will also bring a selection of unusual leaves and flowers
to show and explain.

Healthy Gardening - Tools and Techniques for Garden Longevity

does not cause physical pain, and reduces wear and tear to joints
