Saturday, Jan 24, 1pm at Webster Public Library: The geological story of New York spans over 1 billion years of the Earth’s history. Join us for an amazing presentation and artifact display from retired Paleontologist Dan Krisher! Krisher will follow the state’s journey from its start as an ancient sea to becoming part of what may be the largest mountain range to have ever existed and finally as a frozen land covered with mile high sheets of ice.

Join us for an amazing presentation and artifact display from retired Paleontologist Dan Krisher! The geological story of New York spans over 1 billion years of the Earth’s history. Krisher will follow the state’s journey from its start as an ancient sea to becoming part of what may be the largest mountain range to have ever existed and finally as a frozen land covered with mile high sheets of ice. He will also review the ancient inhabitants of the state, which ranged from some of the world’s oldest forms of single-cell life to vast corals reefs, dinosaurs, and ice age mammals.
