The ever popular scream-fest returns! Come walk through the haunted jails of the Museum of Wayne County History, you just never know what spirits will be lurking in the old cells.

Just for the Halloween season – The best “haunted jail” for a creepy, fun time is a real haunted jail. Jail cells are decorated with spine-chilling, spooky décor for Halloween thrills. Come if you dare!
The Museum is located in the 1856 Wayne County Jail and Sheriff’s residence. There are 13 rooms of exhibition space and a seasonal Carriage House. The only man hanged in Wayne County was William Fee and he was hanged right in the jail in 1860.
Opportunities for visitors:
