Group classes in figure skating for beginners through advanced, ages 4 and up. Sessions are offered twice weekly and families may sign up for one or both days. Discounts apply when you select two days. Sessions are six weeks long, and new sessions begin every six weeks throughout the year. All classes are taught by Genesee Figure Skating Club coaches who are experienced in guiding new skaters towards their goals whether it be competitions, shows, or skating just for the shear joy of being on the ice. Skaters should be able to already stand on their own on the ice unsupported, no other skills needed. Figure skates are needed, and hockey skates are not suitable for this class. We want everyone to be successful, safe and have fun learning to figure skate. Classes are held at the Gene Polisseni Center on the RIT campus. Classes tend to fill, please sign up early to reserve a spot.
