Liberty Pole Lighting 2024 & Parade to Roc Holiday Village
Start the holiday season with a joyful family tradition in downtown Rochester! On Saturday, December 7, 2024, gather at 5 p.m. for the annual Liberty Pole Lighting and Parade to the Roc Holiday Village, sponsored by MVP Health Care. The celebration kicks off with Santa, elves, and costumed friends welcoming everyone as Prime Time Brass plays festive tunes to set the mood. After the lighting ceremony, a family-friendly parade leads to the Roc Holiday Village at Dr. MLK Jr. Park. Enjoy free Santa visits until 8 p.m., ice skating with free rentals (bring your own if possible), unique artisan gifts, delicious food, and photo ops! Kids can join in on fun crafts, and free parking is available at Mortimer Street Garage. Pets are kindly discouraged.

Pets
The City discourages bringing your pets to special events in Rochester, unless the event specifically involves them. Past experience has taught us that the combination of loud noise, crowds, small children, emergency vehicles, extreme weather, etc. can cause concerns with even the most well-behaved pets & we do not want to risk the safety of either the attendees or the pets!
