Join the RMSC Cumming Nature Center and the Naples Library for a Community Eclipse Party on April 8, 2024! This once-in-a-lifetime celestial event is free and open to the public.
On April 8 starting at 3:21pm, the Sun will be fully covered by the Moon for 1 minute and 45 seconds to create a Total Solar Eclipse. This natural phenomenon has not occurred in our region since 1925, and is sure to be a life-long memory for community members who attend.
We will have solar-safe viewing equipment and family-friendly activities on-site from 1pm-4pm. Participants are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and stake out their viewing spot. Limited parking is available, but carpooling and walking from town is encouraged.
More details will be available soon!
