RMSC After Dark: Geek Chic Prom
Friday, June 10 | 7 - 11pm
RMSC After Dark is a series of after-hours social events for adults 21 and over featuring full Museum & Science Center access, Strasenburgh Planetarium shows, and cash bars.
Let's Geek Out!
Geeking out never looked so chic! Dust off that old dress or tux and get ready to pose for those awkward prom pictures at the RMSC After Dark: Geek Chic Prom.
Join us for an exciting evening of music, food, drink and spectacular science! Explore interactive exhibits on all three floors of the Museum & Science Center, make your own corsage. Test your knowledge at throwback trivia and shake a leg to the grooves of DJ A_Live. Watch electrifying Tesla coils zap musical lightning across Electricity Theater and head over to the Strasenburgh Planetarium for a laser show.
Cash bars and food from Dinosaur BBQ will be available, so don’t worry about spiking the punch—we already did!
As always, costumes are encouraged for this kid-free night out.
During the event, you can also enjoy:
- Experience and play virtual reality games with VeRacity VRcade
- Create LED corsages with the Rochester Maker Faire
- Pillow Talk with the Center for Biological Diversity
- Moon gaze (weather permitting) and learn about the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse
- Dance the night away with DJ A_Live
- Take part in an interactive game of throwback pop culture and science themed trivia
- Head to the renovated Strasenburgh Planetarium for laser shows
- Have the opportunity to become prom royalty
- Dinosaur BBQ will be taking over the cafe

Members: $21
General Admission: $26
At the Door: $31
Must be 21+ with a valid ID at entry
Tickets include access to all activities as well as Museum & Science Center exhibits and interactives.
