BLACKSMITHING
September 3 & 25, October 23 & 29 | Times vary
Join instructor Jonathan Bernard to learn the art of blacksmithing in small-group, hands-on training sessions at Cumming Nature Center. Classes for all skill levels will be offered in September & October, ranging from the Fundamentals of Blacksmithing to Advanced Knife-Making courses. Each participant will go home with an object they created during the class.
BEGINNING BLACKSMITHING: WINE BOTTLE HOLDER
Sunday, September 25 | 1pm
Beginner blacksmithing builds on the Fundamentals of Blacksmithing course, and introduces students to the challenge of working with thicker metals. Students create a wine bottle holder with a decorative head. Students are required to have either taken the introduction class or have prior experience blacksmithing. There is a maximum of four students per session for increased one-on-one instruction.
Materials are included in the cost of the class.
Cost: $70 per person
Duration: 2 hours
