Star Gazing in Honeoye Falls

Local Amateur astronomers will be presenting a special star gazing event in Honeoye Falls at Monroe Street Village Park. Hosted by Mendon Library and is open to residents of all ages, especially the young and curious.

There will be several different types of telescopes setup to demonstrateeach of their unique viewing specialities. The event will feature live views of the moon, planets, galaxies, star clusters, star-forming nebulae and interstellar remnants of super novae! Attendees are encouraged to bring their own telescope if they have one. No telescope is too small-each has its own special purpose and experience armatures will be present and eager to assist with their use. Kindly enter the park with headlights off (parking lights only). Please note...These events are weather dependent. Be sure to check the library website 4 hours before the event to assure that conditions will be favorable for viewing.
