Women's History Month: Weekend 4: Great Women in STEM

Join us during Women’s History Month in March! Each Saturday, we’ll celebrate and honor the cultural and scientific contributions of women in history, with a focus on local and historical women from our recent Changemakers exhibit.

WEEKEND ACTIVITIES
SATURDAY, MARCH 25
- Alarm Doormats: Learn how to make alarm doormats while learning about Mary Van Brittan Brown, the inventor of the first home security system.
- Women in STEM Storytime: Cozy up for story hour and listen to stories about women who have made history and impacted their communities.
- Daring to Dig: Women in Paleontology: Attend a hands-on workshop to make plaster fossils and learn about women in Paleontology!
- Documentary Screening: Watch a screening of the award-winning FIRE OF LOVE. A story of French volcanologists Katia and Maurice Krafft who died as explosively as they lived.
SUNDAY, MARCH 26
- Coloring Station: Take a meditative break to sit down and color some Women’s History Month-themed pages.
