Gather family and friends to enjoy an outdoor exploration of the history of maple sugaring in New York State! Start your adventure at our Sugarhouse, then, journey to the 19th century to see the techniques and tools that early settlers used to collect sap and make maple sugar. Plus, sweeten your day by adding on a stop to the Museum’s Meeting Center for a delectable Pancake Plate to fuel your maple sugaring adventures!

Every Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., an Eastman organ student demonstrates the sounds of the Italian Baroque Organ at the Memorial Art Gallery in a brief mini-recital. The 25-minute mini-recital is included with museum admission.
Directed by Associate Professor of Tuba Don Harry, Tuba Mirum consists of the combined euphonium and tuba studios at the Eastman School of Music. The ensemble gives a variety of concerts, with repertory ranging from Bach to Zappa.
Showcase recitals are for students of any age or level who are prepared to give their best performance in one of Eastman’s beautiful performance halls!
OSSIA New Music is generously funded through the Howard Hanson Fund and through grants from the Institute of Music Leadership.
OSSIA takes its name from the score marking that indicates a musical alternative. This ensemble provides alternatives for the performance of new music at the Eastman School of Music, throughout the Rochester area and beyond.
Compline is performed by candlelight each Sunday evening from 9:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (October through April) by the Schola Cantorum. The Schola Cantorum, directed by Stephen Kennedy, is a celebrated ensemble of voices and players of historic instruments.
