Beginning Drawing

Learn to draw what you see with accuracy of scale, form, proportion, and perspective. You’ll enjoy fun exercises, patient instruction, and individual coaching!

Learn to draw through a series of exercises and guided lessons. Learn to better control your lines, depict accurate shapes and forms, and use techniques for proportion and perspective. You'll end with the skills and confidence to draw what you see. Beginning Drawing is a foundational course, helpful in all other drawing and painting classes.
Materials List
For your convenience, we make a kit with all of the materials needed for drawing classes. Kits are available at the first class meeting, sold at the Creative Workshop office. You can also purchase materials separately if you wish.
DRAWING KIT
- 11×14 sketchbook
- 1 each – 2H, HB/B, 2B, 4B, 6B & ebony pencils
- 1 kneaded eraser
- 1 magic rub eraser
- 1 blending stump
- 1 sandpaper block (for cleaning/sharpening paper stump)
- 1 Coates vine charcoal stick
- 1 metal sharpener
